Thank you Illinois!!

What a wonderful ride we had today.  80 miles in the sunshine with a tail wind pushing us along.  I biked most of the day with Carol & Karen and we came in to Kewanee in under 6 1/2 hours of pedaling.  It was a beautiful ride day which is what all of us needed mentally.

I have seen three Dodge Street's.  This is the first one I took a picture of.  This is for Doug & Bill Dodge, Chris's good friends of many many years!

A beautiful Illinois Farm.

Rows of corn

See picture at bottom of blog of "American Graffiti" shack.  Where were the Seabloom's?  Hmmm.

We were so happy to leave Iowa and were hoping Illinois would be friendly to us!

The Land of Lincoln!

Just turn down my driveway and go 3 miles.  I'm the first farm on the left.

What would my blog be without an American Flag....

Dreams grow.....
This was on the side of a building.... talking to me....

A horse & it's foal.

The farms are well kept in Illinois and the good tailwind gave us a chance to look up and see them.

We had a great day in Illinois and thanks to my home town Chief of Police, we were reminded to not feed a dog whiskey or eat in a burning building while we are in Illinois.  So, we will be following those laws while here...

We are hoping for fair weather and more tail winds tomorrow.   Thunderstorms are predicted.  If we have to have band winds or rain, I'll take rain.

Thanks for coming along.  We live in a beautiful country that I am blessed that I get to see a part of it!!
