Muscatine rest day
Today, was a much needed rest day. I had a quiet morning, still waking at 6am like any riding day, but this day I was able to relax and just take it easy. We all went into the bike shop which to all of us riders was like a toy store. I bought another pair of cycling shorts, padded biking gloves (hopefully they will stop my little finger from going to sleep), and a reflector light. The owner Bob enjoyed having all of us women stop in and shop. He brought out his custom made replica antique bike and he rode it for us. What fun we had. He has ridden 100 miles 12 different times on this bike.
Then, I had a massage and got a haircut. Now for a quiet evening, an early turn in and tomorrow we are off again. We are hoping Illinois weather will cooperate. Pray for a tail wind.... We are off bright and early to Kewanee, Illinois which is 78 miles.
Thanks for all of your support and well wishes!
