Kewanee IL to Streator IL 78 miles

The day started off with a big head wind, but after lunch quieted down and even gave us 10 miles of a tail wind which was awesome!!  I'm so glad I hung in there to ride the last 20 miles.

I rode most the day with Lin & Jan which was alot of fun.  Lin holds a steady pace and Jan & I just hang behind.  We had a great lunch in Wenona, not to be confused with Winona MN where we were just a few days ago.

We came upon a wind farm.  Very interesting...

The roads were not crooked.  They were very straight, like a grid....

Beautiful barn & farm.

I am seeing America the beautiful!

This farm had pots all laid out.  Mums were beginning to grow in them.  Very cool.

The flat open wide prairie.

This is what a sag stop looks like.  Our "Little Bo Peep" subaru shows up and we have water, cheese, apples, candy bars, etc. etc and then we are sent on our way.

Arriving in Streator Illinois

This is what dinner looks like for us.  Tonight was chicken curry, salad, bread and carrot cake for dessert.  Bettye on the far left had a flat tire today, but look at her face: she is still smiling!!

This is our journey so far.  Ove 800 miles from Fargo, ND to Streator IL; on our way to Bar Harbor Maine, one mile at a time!

Tomorrow we are heading to our final stop in Illinois.  Watseka IL 86 miles.

Good night all.  Keep emailing and texting me!!!  It brings a smile to my face!!  :)
